Carla Caballeros is an international trade specialist with more than 20 years of experience working with the private sector in both the apparel and textile industry and the agroindustry business sector. She is the Executive Director of the Guatemalan Chamber of Agriculture and former focal point for the Employers International Organization at the Regional Initiative Latin America and the Caribbean Free of Child Labor which is a collaborative tripartite initiative of 30 countries working together to accelerate the process toward the elimination of child labor (8.7 SDG). Based on the evidence she believes that the best way to reduce and prevent child labor happens by increasing formal labor markets and improving the access and quality of education.
The panel gives voice to global, regional, national and local actors who are contributing to address child labour in agriculture in different subsectors.
