Eshani Ruwanpura is a Child Protection Specialist at the UNICEF Regional Office in South Asia (ROSA) and focuses on child labour, child migration and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). She also works with the gender team to ensure that gender issues are well reflected in all child protection programming, including those at country level. Eshani has her MPhil in Social and Development Psychology from the University of Cambridge, UK and her Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh, UK.
The session shares insights into developing strong, collaborative approaches as well as lessons on promising approaches to building evidence on the root causes of child labour.
