Wilm Geurts is the director of international affairs of the ministry of Social Affairs and Employment of the Netherlands, responsible for coordinating international policy and representing the ministry in international meetings and negotiations. Before this he held several positions in the ministry of Foreign Affairs, most recently as head of the European Union division. From 2013 to 2016 he worked as deputy Sherpa/Europe advisor the prime minister of the Netherlands. He holds a MSc. in Physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam/Freie Universität Berlin.
The event aims to share knowledge and exchange best practices on how to eliminate child labour in key value chain sectors exposed to increasingly global challenges.
