Ms. Barreiro has over 25 years of experience designing and managing projects in the areas of education, health Child Protection, and Child Labor. During the past 15 years, she has been responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the DYA Projects portfolio of child labor. In 2011, she undertook the role of DYA Executive Director in the NGO´s Home Office in Ecuador, till mid-2016, when she was designated as Executive Director of the Country office in Peru. Ms. Barreiro has led teams that have developed educational and child labor prevention models that are currently being used in Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, such as the design of the child labor free seal (SELTI) for the Ministry of Labor in Perú and the Municipal management model for the prevention and eradication of child labor.
The event focuses on addressing root causes of child labour in domestic and global supply chains, top to bottom.
