Hem Bahadur Moktan is the Child Development Officer at Nepal GoodWeave Foundation. Hem is a three-time child trafficking survivor. Trafficked from his home community to work at a carpet factory in Kathmandu at the age of ten years old, Hem was 13 when he was identified and rescued by GoodWeave . He was enrolled in GoodWeave’s transit home for rescued children and received long-term support for his education. Now with a Master’s Degree and a PhD in progress, he works to rehabilitate and protect other children from the exploitation he once faced.
The event focuses on addressing root causes of child labour in domestic and global supply chains, top to bottom.
