Heinrich Böhmke is a former trade unionist and researcher. He now works as a forensic investigator and initiator of financial misconduct cases in the public and private sector. He also runs a project at the Democracy Works Foundation focusing on accountability for serious economic crimes and strengthening state capacity in the justice sector. He has experience in the business intelligence sector and actively advises clients on the resolution of high-stakes conflict. Heinrich was also an editor of all #PanamaPapers and #FinCenFiles stories in Africa. He has trained investigative reporters, attorneys, police officers and forensic investigators throughout Africa. He has degrees in Psychology, Comparative Literature and Sociology of Law. He lives in Durban, South Africa and has a keen interest in Nguni cattle and legal technology.
