This side event introduces the Child Labour Free Zone system in Ghana, the government-led initiative addressing child labor systematically with an integrated area-based approach. The Protocols and Guidelines for Establishing Child Labour Free Zones developed by the government through multi-stakeholder processes has been tested in two districts of cocoa-growing areas in the JICA supported pilot
activities.
