Mr Milan Dharel has been working on child rights and child protection for the past 23 years. He has worked with civil society organizations as an activist and a human rights campaigner. Mr Dharel has led several national studies on child labour, slavery, trafficking and forced labour. He is an expert on child protection and has worked as a resource person presenting at more than 100 national and international seminars. Mr Dharel has been working as the Executive Director of the National Child Rights Council in Nepal since 2020. The National Child Rights Council is the National Specialized Government Agency on Child Rights. He has a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Sydney.
