Dennis Sinyolo is an education expert, researcher and Africa Director of Education International, the global union federation representing teachers and education support personnel. From 2006 to June 2020, Dennis was Senior Coordinator in charge of Education International’s Education, Employment and Research Unit at its Headquarters in Brussels. Dennis currently sits on several boards and committees, including the Global Partnership for Education, the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030, the Executive Committee of Education Cannot Wait and UNESCO’s International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa. Born in Zimbabwe, Dennis obtained a Certificate in Education from Gwanda Teachers' College and a bachelor’s degree in Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies from the University of Zimbabwe.
