Dr Shimelis Tsegaye Tesemma is currently working as the Director of Programmes at ACPF.
Dr Tsegaye joined ACPF in 2005 and held several positions in programme development and management for over 15 years. He served as Manager of the Child Development and Protection Programme at ACPF, responsible for programmes related to child protection, family empowerment, violence against children, child-headed households and disability. He also held the position of Senior Policy Research Specialist. Dr Tsegaye has designed Pan-African programmes on various areas including disability, girls’ rights, violence against children, child poverty, child protection systems, among others.
The event consists of the launch of the ILO and UNICEF report on Social Protection and Child Labour followed by a panel discussion and a subsequent plenary session.
