Mr. Mohamed M. Malick Fall has served as the UNICEF Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa since June 2019. He is responsible for leadership, oversight, and guidance to 21 UNICEF country offices in the region, and the representation of the organization with governments, donors, the civil society, and the private sector. Prior to this current assignment, Mr. Fall was the UNICEF Representative in Nigeria from November 2016 to June 2019, and the UNICEF Representative in the Central African Republic from October 2014 to November 2016. In this capacity, he led a large team during a critical shift from a humanitarian crisis to an early recovery stage.
