Jacqueline Mugo is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) and the IOE Vice-President for Africa. A lawyer by profession, she is a titular board member of the Governing Body of the International Labour Organization (ILO), a member of the Management Board of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE); the Secretary-General of BUSINESS Africa Employers Confederation which is the employers’ body in Africa and the first Chairperson of the East African Employers’ Organization.
The session will serve to introduce the theme to be taken up in more detail in the subsequent conference deliberations.
The session provides a forum for African stakeholders to discuss the continent’s specific challenges, as well as political priorities and strategic partnerships to end child labour in Africa.
The panel delves into key challenges and opportunities to support the transition of young people 15 to 24 years of age into decent work.
